January is often a time to reflect and look back at the past year and look forward to the new one. But it is also a good time to look inward. What is there about my character that I want to enhance, and what is there that maybe needs to stop. How do I behave around those closest to me? Am I as patient as I would like to be? Am I too selfish?
Whilst we may want to change some aspects of our character, it is easier said than done!
So as well as looking backwards, forwards and inwards, can I encourage you to look upwards? The Bible encourages us to set our hearts and minds on things above. I know that Jesus can change us, renew us and help to set us on a new course. So I hope this New Year is a good one for you and those close to you, and think about these words from the Bible: May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.
