Whether you’re a budding artist or a seasoned professional, Woodbridge Festival of Art and Music and Noise of Art are inviting you to enter an art competition to have your artwork projected onto the iconic Tide Mill in Woodbridge.

The three themes for the competition are:

  • Autumn Light
  • Light From Dark
  • Tide

Entries can use any representation that can be projected onto the Tide Mill. It could be a line drawing, painting, a photo, short video (nonaudio) or text-based work. It can be a new work or an existing work. We are looking for creative ideas that can be projected, rather than technical ability.

There will be four entry ages:

– 11 and under

– 12 to 15-year-olds

– 16 to 18 years olds

– Over 18 years

Entries deadline 8 September 12 Midday.

The winners will be selected by the artists behind Woodbridge’s Container Project. Winning artworks will be projected onto the side of the Tide Mill to help launch a new winter programme being coordinated by Noise of Art and First Light Festival in conjunction with Woodbridge Festival of Art and Music, Ipswich Art Centre and other partners across Suffolk.

The competition is free to enter to everyone. Please send submissions as PDF or JPEG images only, with a maximum file size of 3MB, to noiseofart@gmail.com by the competition deadline – midday on Wednesday 8 September.
