As we are halfway through July and moving towards a different kind of normal with further shops and services opening, Sproughton Community Shop continues to serve the village and wider community every day.
From 1 July the opening hours are 9.30am-12.30pm Monday to Saturday (Closed Sunday).
We are still selling lots of fresh vegetables and fruit, especially strawberries and fantastic plants from Katie’s Garden. We welcome suggestions from shoppers and try our very best to source requested products from our various suppliers.
We are so very proud of the efforts of the volunteers to keep our village shop open and well stocked since the prime minister announced the lockdown some 16 weeks ago.
We are also proud to receive recognition recently from Countess Euston who wrote to the community shop management committee to pass on thanks for everyone’s hard work in supporting each other during this pandemic.
We continue to operate a one in one out policy in the shop which we know our customers prefer. As well as hand sanitiser at the entrance, we also have an acrylic screen on our counter for social distancing.
We hope that everyone continues to stay safe and keep well. Shop local and continue to support each other.
