The Church Has Left The Building…

So, January wasn’t quite what we were expecting with a new national lockdown, children learning from home, parents balancing teaching and working, people more shut-in and isolated and our church services back online.

We had been having services on a local farm, which was not our pre-Covid venue but is a wonderful temporary home. Fields Church was never really about the building. God is not in a box, nor is his church. It is the family of Jesus’ followers who come together each week to joyfully worship our king, to love and support each other and learn more about our faith which then enables us to share that with the community we are part of.

We are so encouraged when we hear stories of faith overcoming fear, of people’s faith in God getting them through difficult things. One of our young mums recently shared part of her story during our online service. She had gone through life-changing sickness with 80% of her large intestines having died and needing major surgery and spending many weeks in the hospital.

She shared how she had peace in the midst of this. She knew “God’s got it” and he had. He has carried her and her family through and blessed and provided for them.

Fields Church may have temporarily left the building but that just means that we are not contained by walls. We are online every Sunday with a new service. Find us on YouTube by searching ‘fields church uk’ or listen via our
