Take On The Marathon Your Way For Your Local Hospice

The Virtual Virgin Money London Marathon is returning for 2021 on Sunday 3rd October and you can take part in the biggest fundraising event of the year by joining #TeamStHelena and taking part in aid of St Helena Hospice.

50,000 people will have the chance to accomplish the iconic London Marathon from home, or any location of their choosing – and you could be one of them by snapping up one of St Helena Hospice’s marathon places.

The Virgin Money London Marathon is being held virtually meaning you can do it your way; with a full 24 hours to complete the 26.2 miles, you can walk or run! Participants will be able to stop and start as many times as needed throughout, or if you’re up for the challenge; complete it all in one go!

#TeamStHelena will benefit from a completely free registration fee and will receive a coveted official finisher medal. All participants are asked to raise a minimum sponsorship of £100 which could pay to provide 20 families who are in distress with expert advice and guidance over the phone from St Helena’s 24/7 SinglePoint advice line.

Those taking part for St Helena Hospice will also be able to access:

  • an invite to our virtual training group, where they will be able to connect with other #TeamStHelena members
  • a London Marathon New Balance finisher T-shirt, medal, and running number
  • fundraising support and tips to help meet the £100 target

Sarah Wilson, St Helena Hospice’s fundraising manager said: “After the huge success of last year, we are so excited to see the Virtual Virgin Money London Marathon take place again. Alongside the road race being held on the streets of London, the Virtual Marathon allows so many more people to be able to access this iconic event.

“We only have a limited number of spaces, so please get in touch soon if you’re interested in joining #TeamStHelena!”
