The autumn series of Sunday afternoon concerts at St Andrew’s Church, Rushmere St Andrew continues in October with two concerts postponed from the spring series. The first of these, on 4 October, features the early music trio Hexachordia in a programme entitled All in a Garden Green, while on 11 October, Paul Trepte, former Director of Music at Ely Cathedral, will be giving an organ recital. The series concludes on 18 October with music for violin and piano performed by Elodie Chousmer-Howelles (a string finalist in the 2018 BBC Young Musician of the Year competition) and Nil Mladin. All three concerts start at 3pm and last approximately an hour.
Because of the current situation, we are unable to offer refreshments after the concerts, and admission is by numbered ticket only. The tickets are free, but must be ordered in advance from Alan Loader on 01473 727274 or email@example.com and will be emailed to you, or held at the door for you to collect on arrival. After each concert there will be a retiring collection in aid of church funds and the performers’ fees.
After months of disruption for the performing arts (and life in general!), we are delighted to be able to host these concerts, and hope you can join us for what promises to be some very special music-making.
