Suffolk Singers in St Botolph’s Churchyard, Culpho

At Suffolk Singers they are currently preparing for their next concert which will be on Saturday 1 April at 1pm in St Mary’s Church, Bury St Edmunds (located on Honey Hill, IP33 1RT). Entrance will be free with a retiring collection, so please bring some cash!

This will be a concert of sacred music, sung a cappella, an exciting and varied programme including the delightful hymn “This Joyful Eastertide“, which was written by George R Woodward and arranged by Charles Wood in 1894, alongside works by varied composers from Thomas Weelkes of the Renaissance period to Ola Gjeilo a modern Norwegian plus others both historical and modern.

The programme has been chosen especially to reflect the season of Easter. Suffolk Singers are excited to be able to perform in Bury St Edmund’s and hope very much to see you there. Their immediate plans for the year thereafter include an evening concert on 27 May at Holy Trinity Church Blythburgh which enjoys a beautiful location overlooking the river Blyth estuary, another superb venue. Watch this space!
