Planned shutdown 2023
The Suffolk energy from waste facility will be undergoing its annual maintenance shutdown between 12 April and 12 May. After a successful outage last year, this year we will continue to have a single outage rather than two shorter ones that we have done in previous years. The planned shutdown will allow for essential cleaning and maintenance to ensure the facility continues to run efficiently. During the shutdown, the inside of the furnaces and the boiler will be inspected and repaired, and maintenance will be carried out on all systems. The maintenance of each of our two furnaces will be staggered so that we can continue to accept direct delivered waste throughout the shutdown period. There will be an increased number of contractors on site during this period, but there should be no impact on the local community. If you have any concerns about the upcoming shutdown period, please contact us via the details provided below.
