It has been a year like no other and our lifestyle has changed dramatically but we are still planning to have the 2020 Stowmarket Christmas Tree Festival with decorated trees in five venues. We are very pleased to announce that The Walnut pub in Violet Hill Road has joined the festival and has exciting and unique ideas. So in 2020, visitors will be able to see Christmas trees in St Peter and St Mary’s Church, The Museum of East Anglian Life, Stowmarket Library, The Walnut and in the garden at Red Gables.
Due to the coronavirus, we will be following government guidelines. While things will have to be done differently, we hope the festival can still happen and be something the town can look forward to. It’s a community event for the community by the community and groups, organisations, charities and businesses, as well as individuals and families are invited to be part of it. There is no charge to decorate a tree and the summer is a good time to make or collect your decorations.
If you would like to join in the fun please contact each venue directly and ask for more details and an application form.
