In the weekly club competitions, there have been good performances from Brian Pinson and Simon Riley, Paul Wilcox and Steve Kedrew, Jan Wynne and Jim Sawyer, Eva Butler and Roger Tuck, and Angela and Richard Horner. However, Simon Riley and Brian Pinson, favourites for the Ron Ion Trophy, were surprisingly knocked out. The recent Swiss Pairs event at Elmswell, featuring 36 pairs, saw club members participating. Congratulations to Simon Riley, who took fourth place; Bim and Sam Wilson were a creditable sixth.
