Our last competition (Open 5) on 10 June was judged by David Steel DPAGB. A fantastic evening with some amazing images to judge. David picked Perry Andrews’ “Reflecting St Paul’s” as the best mono print and Rob Gray’s “Seaside Sunrise” as the best colour print. After some deliberation, he gave the Cyril and Mary Hall Trophy to Rob Gray for the best overall print. He then picked Paula Irvine’s “Beautiful Bluebell Woods” as the best P.D.I. for the Len Backhouse Trophy.
Next season starts 9 September, but before that, we have a field trip to Minsmere Nature Reserve where the group will be coached by professional photographer Kevin Sawford.
New members are very welcome. You do not have to be an ‘Expert Photographer’ all you need is a camera – any camera and a real interest in using it. Our members use DSLRs, mirrorless, compacts, and bridge cameras.
