Festive opening times
We will be closed on Monday, 25 December (Christmas Day), Tuesday, 26 December (Boxing Day) and Monday, 1 January (New Year’s Day). We will be open as usual on all other days throughout the Christmas period (see opening times below) – thank you for supporting your local shop! Don’t miss our display of Somersham School’s designs from the Christmas Link magazine cover competition. We are pleased to be able to share these super pictures with you all and bring some festive cheer to the shop!
Celebrating our volunteers
We are looking forward to gathering our volunteers in early December to mark the festive season and to make sure they know how appreciated they are; without volunteers the shop would not exist, it is as simple as that! Although we have a dedicated team, we could always do with more help. Please speak to the shop manager, Jennie Hutchinson, if you could spare even just a couple of hours a month – it will help the shop and is sociable and good fun too!
Christmas cards, gifts, treats – and cocktails!
Throughout December we will have a selection of extra treats and goodies in addition to our usual provisions including, new for this month, a selection of delicious pre-mixed cocktails from Framlingham-based ‘Niche cocktails’ – perfect for an updated festive tipple! We have continued to add to our local gifts corner, with woollen socks, wax melts, candles, books and more, and we are pleased to offer Suffolk Wildlife Trust’s beautiful Christmas cards again, in addition to a range of other Christmas cards, gift wrap and tags. If you wish to preorder any meat, pies or other produce for the Christmas period, please let us know as soon as possible.
Best wishes for the new year
We wish all our volunteers, customers, suppliers and friends a happy and healthy 2024. It has been lovely to see so many of you during a busy and successful 2023; we hope this will continue into 2024, and we continue to make more new friends!
