Stowmarket Library is pleased to announce that it will be running the fifth ‘Skulduggery in Stowmarket’ crime festival – a literary event during the last weekend of April, featuring talks and interviews with the best crime and mystery writers in the country and organised by and held in Stowmarket Library.

This festival has become an important date on the Stowmarket calendar with feedback from previous events including; “Brilliant”, “A warm friendly atmosphere”, “A great festival”, “Sparkling!”, and “as for the cider cake – sensational!”.

Come on Friday 28 at 7.30pm as Tony Kent talks about his varied career – once a heavyweight boxer successfully representing England, he is now the author of top-ranking thrillers – Killer Intent, Marked for Death, Power Play and No Way to Die. He is also a practicing criminal barrister, “a leader in his field”.

Spend Saturday 29 meeting and listening to a programme of highly successful authors – Ruth Dugdall, Lesley Kara, Amen Alonge, Simon Mason, Jane Casey, and William Shaw as they talk about their crime and mystery books, cosies and thrillers, characters and writing. It promises to be another “sparkling” day of Skulduggery in Stowmarket Library.
