Shotley and Erwarton WI

Are supermarket premium varieties really superior? Can you taste the difference? This is what we set out to find out at our December WI

Our committee had arranged a couple of plates labelled ‘A’ and ‘B’.  On one of these plates were a selection of foods such as sausage rolls, tacos, crackers and mince pies. The other plate contained the same food item but one plate had the premium brand while the other had the economy range

I discovered I am very cheap to take out as except for a certain brand of cracker and the mince pie I always preferred the bargain variety. We washed our food down with a glass of sherry.

Our next meeting will be held on 21 February, starting at 7.15pm at Shotley Village Hall when Natalie Meg Evans, a published author, will be talking about her books and writing. Come and join us and make new friends.
