Rushmere St. Andrew Parish Council: May Update

An update from the lovely councillors at the Rushmere St Andrew Parish Council

We have another monthly update from the lovely councillors at Rushmere St. Andrew Parish Council:

Parish Council Meetings

We anticipate that we will return to physical meetings from May 2021. Details of the dates, times and venues are available on the website or noticeboards around the parish.

Neighbourhood Plan

Thanks to everyone that responded to the Neighbourhood Plan Locally Important Buildings and Spaces Survey. We had a good response and the results will be published on the website: www.rushmerestandrew.

The residents and youth survey results, design codes and Landscape Character Assessment can also be viewed on this page.

New Litter bins and a Fido Bin

Look out for new litter bins by the benches at the junction of The Street and Bent Lane which will hopefully lead to a reduction in litter which, up until now, has been kindly picked up by residents.

A Fido (dog) bin is also being installed at the end of the footpath that runs along the back of Ipswich Rugby Club onto Tuddenham Lane. Thanks to Ipswich Rugby Club and Rob Kersey for their assistance with this.

All these bins are being installed thanks to District Councillor Mark Newton funding the purchase and installation of these bins out of his Enabling Communities Budget.

The office is closed but our clerk and assistant clerk are still working so should you need to get in touch please contact them by email in the first instance:

Parish Clerk: Assistant Parish Clerk: Or telephone 01473 711509 and leave a message.

Rushmere St Andrew Parish Council Office, Tower Hall, 5 Broadlands Way, Ipswich IP4 5SU.

We are looking forward to meeting up with loved ones again, having a coffee and shopping but we are aware of the importance of remaining vigilant and following government guidelines on handwashing and social distancing to keep Covid-19 cases down in this area.

Thank you to everyone in our parish for your continued patience in these difficult times.
