My retirement is rapidly approaching and each event is becoming the “last” at something. It has meant handing over things to others. My experience is nothing like that of Jesus, but he had to prepare to hand over responsibility to others.

During Lent, we begin to prepare for Easter. Lent begins on Ash Wednesday (22 February) by receiving the imposition of ashes on the forehead as a sign of sorrow for our faults. We will be running a morning Lent Bible Study examining topics like temptation, forgiveness, and the wilderness.

Many of our services are found on the Constable Country Churches Youtube channel, scroll down the home page and click on either St Mary’s or St Michael’s. Both our churches have a Pantry in the Porch which is open 24/7. Give what you can, and take what you need.
