In July we said ‘Goodbye’ to sixty of our pupils who had spent the first seven years of their schooling with us.  They all went on to High School with a great send off, parents were invited to a leavers assembly and awards ceremony with entertainment provided by the very talented Yr6 leavers.

We are all now back after the sunny Summer Break and there is lots planned already for the coming year.  We are looking forward to the residential trips, school plays, Christmas festivities, visitors to the school, and visits outside the school.

Although we were sad to say Goodbye, this week we will say ‘Hello’ to our new intake of Reception children.  They are lucky enough to be the first children able to use the brand-new Early Years Outdoor Area. During the summer break, the area underwent a total makeover and is almost unrecognisable!  The all-weather grass surface is now a great area to try out the balance beams, make lots of noise on the outdoor musical instruments, and create new recipes in the mud kitchen.  We hope there will be lots of nice weather over the next few weeks to enjoy the storytelling chair (although we are sure it will still get lots of use all year round!)

We are now looking to our Open Events to welcome families with children starting school for the first time next year. If you would like to attend one of these events please keep an eye on our website, or leave your details with our office ladies and they will let you know when the dates and times are confirmed.
