The Keeper’s Daughter Theatre Company presents After the Blitz: Neon Electric Nights, a brand new video art installation that celebrates the New Romantic youth culture of the 1980s.
This exciting and visually stunning piece of work will tour this June to the Seagull Theatre, Lowestoft and the Shoe Factory, Norwich.
The experimental installation has been developed by the company’s Artistic Director, Mark Finbow, who has lovingly crafted the project over the last 2 years. Not only will the installation celebrate the New Romantic era it will also explore the 1980s turbulent political scene through original synth-pop and experimental video art.
Speaking about this exciting new work Mark Finbow said “This electro-art installation is a bold new creative project for us celebrating the New Romantic youth culture and we’re keen to invite audiences into the process to experience our synth-pop, our 80s visuals, to enjoy themselves and feedback into our process”.
Tickets are £5, each show will last around 30 minutes and tickets are strictly limited to 6 people per show with several 30 minute time slots throughout each evening whilst it’s on tour. The installation will open at the Seagull Theatre, Lowestoft on Thursday 24th June and then travel to the Shoe Factory, Norwich on Friday 25th June. The project has been commissioned by Norwich Fringe Festival and supported by Arts Council England.
The installation area will be cleaned after each 30 minute show and audience members are being asked to socially distance whilst visiting the installation, sanitise their hands on arrival and wear a face mask whilst at the attraction.
