The Martlesham Heath Surgery Practice and Patient Group (PPG) recently met for our March meeting. We discussed a number of items including plans for potential re-modelling of the space at the surgery to increase the number of clinical rooms available. Whilst initial plans have been drawn up, everyone involved is aware that it will be a while before patients start to see any activity on this work.
The PPG also discussed potentially lining up future meetings with the monthly GP training sessions, meaning that we would potentially find it easier to synchronise our need for space to meet. Plus also allow us to easily alternate the time of day we have the PPG meetings. The PPG are in the midst of a producing a new surgery leaflet, which unfortunately has been delayed during the pandemic. We hope to be able to publish this shortly. We have also planned how we can share information of interest to patients on a regular basis, utilising the various local news sheets, websites, etc. We have a plan for items we consider important to share over the next few months, with the aim of updating patients and providing useful information.
If you are interested in finding out more about the PPG please either email me at: MartPPG@gmx.com or drop a note (with your name and contact details) into the surgery reception in an envelope marked for my attention (Tony Willmott, PPG Chair).
