Hurrah! Yes, we’re back!

Martlesham Heath Pavilion’s doors are unlocked at last and our friendly much-missed market is up and running again from Tuesday 15 September, if on a smaller scale for the present. The Pavilion is being given a deep clean at weekends and we’re opening after an overnight steaming. Our open hours are shorter and, owing to current regulations, we’re restricting market members present to accommodate a small number of customers, but we’re back in business and looking forward to seeing you. New and regular customers are welcome.

All our goods and produce are baked, made or grown locally and buying from the market means more money stays in the local economy. You can place your order for cakes, sweets and treats by calling Margaret Gayfer on 01473 623849. Pick up your order and pay securely by card either at the market or by phone to minimise contact. Please wear a face-covering while in the Pavilion. Our marketeers all wear them too. Hand sanitiser stations are available.

We are still cooking free-from food so please ask: our gluten-free or dairy-free cakes and meals are praised far and wide for their special home-made deliciousness (far superior to mass-produced produce, if I may say).

We have jams, preserves, pickles, local honey and eggs, cakes and baked goodies (which ought to come with a ‘no crumb left’ guarantee). We offer quilts, bags, bunting and beaded delights, hand-turned wooden items, hats, scarves, plants and garden produce and painted pots to put them in. Come and see!

The new hours at Martlesham Heath Pavilion are 10.30-11.30am on Tuesdays and we’ll also have a table at the community market at Kesgrave Scout Hut (IP5 1JF) on Saturday 17 October from 9.30-11.30am.
