Martlesham Heath Control Tower Museum opens for the 2023 Season! It is open on Sunday afternoons, 2-4.30pm from Sunday 2 April. It is located behind Parkers Place, off Eagle Way, Martlesham Heath, Suffolk IP5 3UZ. 

You will have the opportunity to explore the history of our airfield that spanned two World Wars, from the Royal Flying Corps to the RAF and USAAF, through to the Jet Age. It includes the story of extensive Aeronautical Research (Civilian and Military) done on aircraft between the Wars – and afterwards up to 1963, and Armament research. Finishing with (for instance) ATC Gliders in the early 6o’s, Blind Landing, and Bomb Ballistic Work (in conjunction with the Orfordness Test site).

Free Admission – Donations welcomed. No need to book, just turn up! Parking is free and very easy. We can also open up for Special Groups by prior arrangement – to book these or for further information contact Ian on: 07707 711 104.
