The opening of the brand-new Marco Pierre White restaurant in Felixstowe on 27 June will coincide with the arrival of a new seasonal menu that is perfect for the summer.

Available at the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill, which is located at the new Hotel Coco on Orwell Road, the summer dishes include a range of seasonal specials on the main à la carte. There is also a special puddings menu that has been brought out for the time of year.

The summer dishes sit alongside the range of classic dishes that the famed chef loves so much and will, it is hoped, go down well with both locals and visitors to Felixstowe.

Andrew Vales, general manager at the venue said: “Right from day one we want to make sure that guests know we will be bringing out seasonal menus throughout the year and the Summer specials and summer set menu are a great way to start this off.

“For any restaurant it’s vital that in order to attract guests back again and again we provide as wide a variety of menus as possible. Very few restaurants bring out seasonal menus every quarter but is what we’ll be doing so that the Steakhouse Bar & Grill becomes the destination for eating out in Felixstowe.

“Marco’s ethos is all around using fresh ingredients and simplicity to spotlight the food and flavour and this menu emphasises this.”

On the à la carte seasonal specials starters include a Caponata of Summer Vegetables, Chilled Tomato Soup Andalucian with Atlantic Prawns and a Classic Gravlax of Salmon.

Mains are just as tempting and includes Pan Fried Monkfish Tail, Raffles Tiffin Club Chicken Curry and a Grilled Sea Bass Fillet Alla Sicilian.

Guests with any room left will then be able to choose one of the new summer puddings including an Eton Mess, Traditional Summer Pudding and 1879 Cambridge Burnt Cream.

Andrew added: “The seasonal menu reflect Marco’s ethos of serving up-to-date dishes that are not only in keeping with the time of year but use ingredients that are fresh, simple and classically prepared.

“People love to eat out, even if it is just going to somewhere casual and the new summer menu is focused around our belief that good quality food should be an experience that is shared and enjoyed with friends and family, whatever the occasion.

“Of course, the best way to find out the full range of these new seasonal dishes is to pop in and try them out. There really is something for everyone.”
