Kesgrave Library

Suffolk Libraries has teamed up with Featherbed Tales to provide a new way for people to share stories with children or loved ones.

Staff are pleased to announce that Kesgrave Library is now open for browsing. Due to the size of the library, they are only able to accommodate three customers in the building at any one time.

To avoid disappointment and prolonged queuing, they are asking customers to phone and book a 15-minute appointment. Please ring the library on 01473 626103 to book a time.

The team understands that some customers may be feeling nervous about returning to browsing so they will continue to run their Select & Collect service. If you would like to use this service, please ring them to arrange a time/date for collection.

Select & Collect

This service is open to any age group and has proved very popular. Staff select a variety of books for customers based on the information you give them about the types of books and authors that you like to read. Staff can also ‘reserve in’ any items that are unavailable at Kesgrave.

10am-1pm / Tuesday: 10am-1pm / 2-5pm Wednesday: 2-5pm / Thursday: 2-5pm Friday: 10am-1pm & 2-5pm / Saturday: 10am-1pm Sunday: Closed

Track & Trace

All customers who come into the library will be asked to complete a track and trace form or to scan the library’s QR code on their phone to log that they have been on site. All completed forms will be kept safely and destroyed after 21 days if they are not contacted to say a customer has tested positive.

Face Masks

It is a mandatory requirement to wear a face mask that covers the nose and mouth when collecting requests or coming into the library. Thank you for your understanding.

Staff will continue to post information and activities on the Kesgrave Library Facebook page. Please ‘Like’ and ‘Follow’ their page for up-to- date information.

Staff have recently set up an Instagram account. If you would like to follow us, please look for ‘Kesgrave Library’.

Word Play Sessions

Staff are currently working hard to find a way to be able to hold face-to-face Tot Rock/Baby Bounce and Story Time sessions in a safe environment at a location close to the library. Please look out for posts on their social media accounts and for posters advertising the reintroduction of these sessions.

The team at Kesgrave Library look forward to seeing you all very soon and would like to thank you for all your support.
