Meet the Ipswich schoolboy turned rising karting star with dreams of being a Formula One driver.

Despite Euan Stephenson’s young years, he has loved motorsport and competitively driven for most of his life. Since starting out at Anglia Indoor Karting and after moving to Ellough, Euan and his dad decided to step up and go owner kart racing (Privateer).

As we kick off into 2024, we are so excited to return to national racing. This year Junior Kart Championship is run over five rounds, covering Whilton Mill, GYG Wales, Karting Northeast, Rowrah Cumbria and Fulbeck, with a winter cup returning to Whilton Mill. The calendar for 2024 is going to be action packed and very exciting. We are racing again under the Junior Rotax category and stepping up into UK Motorsport and Kart Championship Regulations.

We have successful stepped up into UK Motorsport licence pathway gaining our 2023 and 2024 race licence. We have had a busy winter, with our engine being tuned at the nationally renowned Wright Engine Builders. We have had a successful period of rest and managed to secure sponsorship for 2024, with Martello Transport coming back as our marquee sponsors. KDR European, Cory Brothers and Platinum Sport Prestige Transport and Ipswich Trade Centre all coming back on board for 2024. Without local companies coming back on board and supporting us we wouldn’t be able to race so a massive thank you to them.

This year is going to be a massive step up again for us as a privateer race team, racing against the biggest Factory teams in the UK, we have done so much preparation over the winter to the kart and personally. This year will be massive for us as a race team, as we learnt from last year’s tough season, and we walk away from that season with our heads held high and loads of learning.

Me, as mechanic and manager I have learnt so much in kart set-up and making the best out of what we have, and Euan has learnt so many different techniques and has improved so much. I have seen so much growth in Euan as a person and a young racer. I must thank St Albans Catholic School for continuing to support our race journey. “My friends don’t know a lot about karting but are really supportive of me, my school have been really supportive too and are interested in how I’m doing.”

All races are streamed live on Alpha Live and through YouTube channel, all links can be found on our social media and website: www.euanstephensonracing.co.uk.

We as a team would love to thank everyone for supporting our 2023 season and we hope people will continue to follow us into 2024. It’s an exciting time for us racing and we can’t wait to show the new look kart and graphics.
