We’re delighted to introduce Taff and Luke who have taken over The Bramford Cock as you may not be able to meet them in person for a little while longer.

Taff and Luke have been in the industry for more than 30 years have been looking for the perfect village pub for more than a year. At The Bramford Cock, they have found exactly what they wanted and they are very excited to finally move in and to make plans for the future.

Of course, due to COVID-19 the pub is still closed but Taff and Luke are providing a take-away service (using as much local produce as possible) until restrictions are lifted. When that day comes, they plan to host a launch event to introduce themselves to the community. What an occasion that will be!

“We can’t wait,” said Taff. “We’ve all been missing our friends and family but in our industry, our customers are our extended friends and family so it has been really difficult. We’re really looking forward to meeting everyone and getting to know the local community.”

For now there are only two members of staff on the premises, one cooking and ordering food and the other taking orders and maintaining contact with customers, with many placing regular take-away orders.

“The demand for take-away food has been high and it’s likely we will continue to offer this service when we re-open. Good quality, reasonably priced home cooked food is always popular but I’m sure there are many who miss going out to eat, meeting with friends to enjoy a meal together or just chatting to friends and neighbours over a drink at the bar.”

Until the day when you can wander down to your local once again, Luke will be delighted to cook for you and Taff will be there to take your call, and we can all look forward to launch day.

Let’s home that day comes sooner than later!
