Hadleigh Photographer Rebecca Lewis Featured in Virtual Documentary Photography Exhibition

June, 2022 – Suffolk documentary family and brand photographer Rebecca Lewis has been selected to take part in the Community virtual exhibition, hosted by Documentary Family Photographers Worldwide(DFP).

Rebecca Lewis’s photograph titled “The Sharing Of Skills” features three jewellers in a workshop in Devon, UK.

“When I captured this image I was struck by the powerful sharing of knowledge and skill taking place” says Rebecca. “ Documentary photography gives me the opportunity to pause and observe, engaging with my subject to capture their love and passion and help them see the magic of their everyday life, be it the chaos of a noisy family breakfast or a goldsmith wielding fire to melt alloys.”

Her photograph was selected by exhibition jurors from over 500 submissions. The imagery highlighted in the Community exhibit is of true stories of belonging and each photographer’s interpretation of what community means to them.  50 photographs by 41 photographers from 14 different countries will be on display beginning June 13th, 2022 via a virtual 3D exhibit gallery on the DFP Gallery Website.  A virtual opening reception featuring awards and artist talks will take place on June 13th, 2022 at 10 am PST. All are welcome to come.

Her photograph “The Sharing Of Skills” will be exhibited along with 49 others showcasing honest images of “Community.”
