Food, Glorious, Food

Wow, what a busy month 1st Mid Suffolk Boys Brigade and Girls Association have had, even though we are still unable to meet.

We celebrated National Picnic Week with a virtual picnic and the leaders had fun creating a socially distanced video where they appeared to pass an item of picnic food from one to another. In fact, lots of food activities have taken place as they are very popular with our group.

Scones, campfire banana boats, cookies and cakes have been produced. The children and some leaders had great fun attempting to get a cookie from their forehead to their mouths in a minute with no hands. Some were successful. Why not have a go?

We have awarded gold, silver and bronze certificates to some of our members and are hoping to present the medals to the children at a big party when we can meet again. Boys Brigade Headquarters are putting together the autumn programme and we hope to return to some face-to-face contact with the children. We are currently staying in touch with our members through our online platform, emails and phone calls and hope to arrange socially distanced visits during the summer. Please take a look at our regularly updated public Facebook page to take part in the activities and see the fun we are having.

We usually meet on Wednesday evenings at the Boys Brigade Hall in Combs Ford: Anchors (ages 5-8) 6.15-7.15pm; Juniors (8-11) 6.15-7.30pm; Company and Seniors (11-18) 7-9pm. Spaces are available when meetings resume.
