Elmswell Baptist Church

In light of the latest government restrictions, we took the decision just before Christmas to close our church once again for services and revert to Sundays on Zoom.

The media, in all its guises, constantly report on the pandemic, how our hospitals are coping with the pressure of so many patients in their care, the number of people who have sadly died, the number of daily infections, where the major vaccination centres are to be located, and so it goes on day after day with no escape.

Hopefully, once the vaccination programme gets into full swing and millions of the population are vaccinated and protected, something else will hit the headlines. However, we must never forget those we have lost to Covid-19 and their families learning to cope without their loved ones.

We pray for them along with NHS staff and key workers working tirelessly to care for us all.

On Wednesdays, we have a short Zoom meeting for a chat and catch up. We look at a short scripture reading, discuss our understanding of it and then bring each other up to date with our lives. We are a small fellowship, always open to welcoming anyone into our church.

If you would like to join either of our Zoom meetings, please contact Tony on 01359 241541 for the code number and password.

Our services in February will be led on Zoom by:
Sunday 7 – Rev Norman Tharby
Sunday 14 – Mike Forrester
Sunday 21 – TBA
Sunday 28 – Rev Norman Tharby

Please stay safe and follow the social distancing rules.
