East Suffolk u3a

A Christmas reak, then full steam in the New Year!

Christmas will soon be upon us, so u3a East Suffolk allows its members a breather in December to catch up on all the preparations! But, come the New Year, it’s full steam ahead with another series of lively and interesting speaker meetings, which occur once a month at each of four different venues.

In January members can enjoy talks about the history of fish and chips, the statues of Ipswich, Lake Garda and intriguingly a talk entitled “How to sell the Eiffel Tower”, all about famous frauds.

Full information is available on the u3a website: www.u3aeastsuffolk.org.uk. East Suffolk u3a is a thriving and steadily growing members’ organisation, giving older members of the community an opportunity to live life to the full.

There are over 150 different discussion and activity groups focusing on the arts, history, science, foreign languages, gardening, geology, walking, quizzing, dining out, short breaks, and more. New members are welcome, with the expectation that they will contribute to the success of the group.
