The last month

The New Year has not been kind to the First Team as yet. One draw and three defeats, albeit two of the close affairs won twice, have left the team in the bottom half of the Senior Division table.

The Reserves also had  a disappointing January with two draws and a defeat in the League whilst also departing  the County Cup competition. Those results mean they sit in a mid-table position.

The A Team had only two games in the month, both high scoring affairs, winning one at Debenham and losing the other narrowly at Leiston St Margarets. They are comfortably placed in the middle of the table. The Darts Night was a success again. Congratulations to James Maud who took

the Peter East Trophy. Keith Norman was Runner Up. Thanks to Armour Engineering for their efforts with the match day pitch surrounds.

Sponsorship

We would like to thank our sponsors for this season; Smy IT Specialists, JAK Services Ground Care, Riverside Taxis Manningtree, Marquis, Bergholt Travel, G & C Timber & Joinery Ltd, Primus, Kitchen Worktops Online, C&W Fencing, Armour Engineering. We would also like to thank all the player sponsors. Thanks to your generosity this has raised over £1000. If you would like to sponsor the club in some capacity we would also be delighted to hear from you. Club strips, Dugouts, Banners or Boards on Matchdays, these are all potential for exposure for your business whilst supporting a local organisation.

Ladies and Juniors

The Ladies and Juniors are both under way now. We are looking for new teams, boys or girls, of any age group to come and join us as we look for the club to grow. Also Ladies who would like to join

are welcome. If you are interested please contact Lee Partridge: bunter.partridge@googlemail.com

We are always on the lookout for people who can help the club as a committee member, whether it be on the playing side or just in the background. In particular we are looking for a Manager for the A Team next season. EBUFC is a community club with very strong village traditions. The majority of the players either live in, or have links to, the village. Anyone over 16 who is interested in playing, we train on Wednesday evenings at the High School. The teams cover a range of abilities so if you want to play again just come along and give it a go. Please come along and give us a look sometime.
