East Bergholt Tennis Club

It’s been a fantastic start to 2024 at East Bergholt Tennis Club with coaching, cardio tennis, league matches, and our social sessions in full swing. Since we reformed, the club has gone from strength to strength and we now have over 300 members making the most of what we offer on and off court. If you’d like to join us, we’re offering a special winter membership rate from now until April, with up to a third off our standard pricing – fantastic value for floodlit tennis.

Our winter season is in full flow and for the first time, we’ve entered both A and B teams across our men’s, women’s and mixed divisions as more players have felt ready to get involved in competitive tennis. Our Disability Tennis Programme continues as we welcome SEN schools to EBTC for special sessions led by coach Matthew Watson.

Since being awarded LTA club of the year 2023, we’ve launched a limited edition range of EBTC merchandise, including t-shirts, sweatshirts, tank tops, bags and bottles. Talented club member Caroline has produced our fantastic merchandise and it’s been great seeing so many members wearing their kit on court.

At the end of January, we hosted another fantastic quiz night in the pavilion. Thanks to our social committee Ross, Claire, Mark, Joe and chairman Paul for hosting a brilliant night and helping raise funds to put towards our new club house.

Our coaching programme kicked off in January, with sessions available for all abilities.

If you’re ready to dust off your racket and get back into tennis, or you’d like to pick up a racket for the first time, contact Matt Watson on: acetennis84@gmail.com.

Our regular sessions continue with social tennis Tuesday evenings and Sunday mornings email: paulvcansdale@gmail.com or just turn up.

We run cardio 7pm Wednesday evenings and 9.15am Friday mornings and group coaching for kids and adults throughout the week.
