Have you missed us? It’s been a while since we last updated you here, we hope you have all been enjoying the recreation ground over the last few months.

The committee would like to politely remind everyone that dogs are not permitted within the fenced section of the playground. This reminder sparked some conversation on our Facebook page and a request for a secure area for dogs at the recreation ground. We always welcome your feedback and this will be discussed at our next meeting. As a charity, a lot of the work we undertake depends on funding, but we will always do our best to accommodate everyone in our community.

On the subject of community: after the success of our last two fun-days, we are going to try and make it a hat-trick. Save the date for we are planning our next event for Monday, 6 May 2024. The Lockerbillies will be joining us again, as will a number of our regular stalls and even some new ones. Keep an eye on our socials to find out more.

Lastly and keeping in with the theme of community, can you help?

We are looking to work with some local companies to complete some maintenance work at the site. We would welcome quotes to complete some or all of the following:

– New external doors on the pavilion

– Replace guttering, pavilion

– Adult training equipment review, mainly to replace some foot pads that are weather deteriorating, rust

– General perimeter maintenance

– Reseeding football pitch
