Chelmondiston Parish Council

Chelmondiston Parish Council give an update on their Covid-19 grant

Covid-19 Grant Update

The parish council still has funds available to support our parishioners and with the UK Government following its roadmap, we thought it was a good time to launch our grant again.

The grant is £25 per household. We have already helped several parishioners so far but would like to help more. However, once it has gone it is gone.

The grant can be used for essential items, but it is what is essential to you.

£25 towards a haircut at Hers & Sirs
£25 towards a food shop at Hollingsworths Store & Butchers

£25 towards a food shop/gift card at any supermarket
£25 towards a meal at The Red Lion or The Butt and Oyster

£25 towards a magazine/paper subscription at Orwell Stores £25 towards an item that you regard as essential

How It Works

You need to complete an application which will take about five minutes. Your application needs to be approved by the parish council (it usually takes about a week)
You need to provide a receipt which we need for our auditors.

We then raise a cheque for you.

If this is something you would like to apply for or if you would like to recommend someone, please contact the parish clerk, Jill Davis, for an application form: 07984 733352 /

Please note all applications are confidential.

Chairman: Cllr David Cordle, ‘Trelowena’, Hill Farm, Chelmondiston IP9 1JU
