Like other businesses and community groups, our dance classes were effected during lockdown, so it was great to reopen our studio doors once again on Saturday 25 July. We held some commercial workshops and continued to run weekly classes in a variety of dance styles throughout August. Social distancing is in place and the new system is going well, with positive feedback from our parents and dancers feeling safe and welcome during their class.
Although the school has had to postpone a few major events this year, such as area competitions and a trip to perform at Disneyland Paris this summer, everything has now been rescheduled. While in lockdown, a few students took part in the first-ever ISTD freestyle Street Dance online event, giving us all a new challenge and an opportunity to keep busy.
On their return to class, many students can look forward to receiving medals and certificates from an examination session back in March. With nearly 100 individual medal tests and grades, the school has outstanding results with distinctions, grade As and 99% marks to hand out across the school. Well done everyone.
The school runs classes from three years up and welcomes new students. For information contact school principal Cara-lea: 07786 253823
