Report from the meeting held on Monday 12April. Present were Councillors Bishop, Bonfield, Cowgill, Dimond, Fenn, Harris, Hole, Matthews, O’Galligan, Rogers (chairman), Ross, Weaver, County Councillor Jones, District Councillor Carpendale and Julie Lawes (clerk).
The parish council recommended approval to Babergh District Council for planning application: 6 Broom Way – Erection of rear sunroom (following demolition of existing conservatory).
Work has now commenced on the development named Samford Gardens on land off Little Tufts.
Scott Properties have advised they will be going to Public Consultation with an outline plan to build 519 properties plus employment units on land off Red Lane by the end of April with intentions to submit a planning application to Babergh District Council end May/beginning of June 2021.
The floral display will be erected for the 35th year running at the shopping precinct. If your business or group is interested in sponsoring this event, please contact the clerk.
Following a further resignation, the council now has two vacancies to fill and will be looking to co-opt at the May meeting.
The next meeting of Capel St Mary Parish Council will be via Zoom on Tuesday 4 May.
