An extract from the Link Interim Newsletter with the kind permission of Brian Rogerson
We have set up a Covid 19 Aid Group in Capel St Mary with the backing of the parish council. Around 67 volunteers have distributed leaflets to every household in Capel with their contact details.
We are now helping vulnerable people in the village with their shopping, prescription runs, etc. A team of telephone volunteers are also keeping in touch. We are constantly updating our dedicated Facebook page with more information and are hoping to get more leaflets out to households this week with more practical information re shopping and reminding them of their volunteer’s details.
Our aim to keep all vulnerable residents safe and isolated.

Please could residents let us know of anyone they think is vulnerable or in need of help?
Please check on vulnerable neighbours and ask them to make contact with us so we can help them.
We must ensure these people are not visiting the shops; they need to stay safe so that the NHS resources can be used for the key workers who need them.
Hall Farm Food Collection
We have set up a
service with Hall Farm for any vulnerable people in the village. Orders will be
taken (meat, veg, fruit, dairy and some dry items) by Wednesday for collection
on Friday. Please send all orders to jo green and her daughter Fran (an
employee of Hall Farm) via phone or email: 07895 292453 / joanna19green07@gmail.com.
Hall Farm will ring the customer direct when their order has been picked and take payment over the phone. We have provisions in place for vulnerable people who do not have a debit/credit card. Volunteer/s will collect the orders and deliver them within the village.
Please order as soon as possible as it is on a first come, first served basis. We do not yet know how much spare capacity they have.
Please stay safe and let our fantastic team of volunteers help you.
