As a symbolic gesture aimed at showing solidarity for those working on the frontline to protect those most at risk of the pandemic, Stowmarket Town Council has raised a THANK YOU NHS flag over Stowmarket Town Centre.
Now faced with an extended lockdown, they are asking everyone to join in by creating a window display, which could include your very own flag to thank your chosen key worker.
There are many wonderful keyworkers out there keeping our community going, these include:
- All NHS staff
- Firefighters
- Police officers
- Volunteers
- Carers and support workers
- Supermarket/shop workers
- Delivery drivers
- Farmers and farm workers
- Teachers
- Postal workers
- Refuse collectors
- Factory workers
- Vets
Once you have created your window display, send a photo to support@stowmarket.org and it will be included in the council’s Fly the Flag video which we will be sharing on their website and social media pages.
