Following a long pause in regular day to day life, Cabbages & Kings have come out fighting. With the launch of the Needham Lake ice cream trailer, and the big signing of the contract at Stowmarket Town FC catering provision, Cabbages have found themselves in the enviable position of creating employment within Stowmarket!

Cabbages & Kings signing with Stowmarket Town FC has come at, what many may call, a challenging time but together Cabbages & Kings, The Mix and Stowmarket Town FC are excited to unite and help build a hub for the community of Stowmarket and surrounding areas. Cabbages are offering a simple bar menu in the newly rebuilt kitchen over the weekends with a match day menu that showcases the ever-popular Cabbages & Kings sausage rolls and new formidable favourites, such as loaded fries and juicy burgers.

Over the lockdown period, the clubhouse has had a lick of paint and a bit of a spruce up. It is looking fresh as ever and ready to welcome new patrons that would like to enjoy a family-friendly atmosphere with great food, a stocked bar, and not forgetting football on tap with regular home matches and Sky Sports on the bar screens!

The ice cream trailer has been exceptionally well received at Needham Lake, serving hundreds of ice creams to visitors throughout the summer in preparation for the launch of the brand-new visitor centre, set to be opened in 2021. The visitor centre will not only be creating more employment within the area, it will also be enhancing one of the top free tourist attractions in East Anglia. Serving breakfasts, light bites, lunches, barista coffee and ice creams, we aim to showcase the best seasonal produce Suffolk has to offer!

Cabbages & Kings coffee shop at The Mix Stowmarket is open as usual and is surrounded by a perpetual reminder of why the catering company thrives. Every penny of profit that Cabbages & Kings make will go straight back to The Mix so that this local charity can continue to support young people in the local area.

Sustaining The Mix and its projects will forever be our goal and we are excited that with our new ventures we can continue on our journey, whilst also supporting the wider community.
