At the time of writing, our activities are restricted to online meetings and events until further notice. Keep checking the website and Facebook page for any updates on our future performances.
It seems incredible that we performed Anything Goes back in February. We had an amazing time performing at the village hall and would like to thank you for coming along and supporting the group.
Since then we are very pleased to announce that we have received no less than nine nominations from the North Essex Theatre Guild, who will be holding their awards ceremony in September. Fingers crossed and a big well done to all involved.
The lockdown situation has not held us back socially, with many of us joining in the weekly online play readings and the fortnightly quiz and bingo nights.
If you are interested in joining BATS, we accept all ages from seven to 107 years. Whether you love to act or would like to get involved in set design, sound, lighting or costume making, we would love to hear from you.
JUNIOR BATS IS RECRUITING!
Junior BATS is our drama group for ages 7-11. The aim is to enjoy using drama skills and make friends with like-minded others. The group meets weekly, usually at Brantham Village Hall. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the village hall is out of use until further notice. We have been meeting ‘virtually’ for some months and during that time we have been able to explore many areas, as well as reading scripts and displaying our work in a short play. Children who will shortly be attending high school have the option to transfer to Teen BATS, where activities will be more appropriately age-related.
The next term starts on 11 September and we will meet every Friday from 6.30-8pm.
TEEN BATS
The next term also starts on 11 September and will meet every Friday from 8-9.30pm. If there is no change in the COVID-19 situation by September, classes will continue online.
Our group is covered by a detailed safeguarding policy, which you may read on our website. Should you have any questions, or wish to register, please contact Angie Heat: 07891 974844.
