Since Easter, we have been able to reintroduce after-school clubs. There’s been a focus on writing, maths and also football. Key Stage 2 children have taken part in a virtual netball event with great enthusiasm and our older children have had an opportunity to participate in Bikeability. We embraced Walk to School Week and brushed up on our road safety.

We welcomed technology with our virtual parent consultations and our weekly virtual sharing assemblies, enabling families to see what we’ve been doing at school even though they haven’t been able to visit in person.

During May, members of our school community set a task for the pupils to find, identify and learn about some of the wild plants and flowers in our vicinity. The children thoroughly enjoyed looking for them on their walks and are beginning to explore in more detail the things around them. We thank Mr and Mrs Kell for their efforts in encouraging this fabulous activity.

In June, we look ahead to some visitors including singing and our annual class photos! We are definitely beginning to see some normality return to school and the children and staff are enjoying being able to participate in some more familiar favourites.
