‘A Portrait of British Cheese’ with Angus D. Birditt will take place on Thursday 30 March at The Food Museum, Stowmarket, IP14 1SL, 6–8pm. 

The perfect occasion for any cheese lover. Join writer, photographer, curator of our Hedgerow exhibition and author of A Portrait of British Cheese Angus D. Birditt, for an evening of hedgerow-inspired cheese and wine at the Food Museum. On the night, Angus will be discussing his book A Portrait of British Cheese, and his adventures across the British Isles discovering artisan cheeses. The book celebrates the excellence of artisan and farmhouse cheese in the British Isles, showing how British artisan cheese is profoundly connected to the land, farm animals and people involved in making it. The book has recently been long-listed for the André Simon Awards, the prestigious annual awards for food and drinks books. Angus will also be discussing our Hedgerow exhibition currently on display at the Food Museum, and taking questions from the audience, all accompanied by a selection of delicious Hedgerow inspired cheeses paired with local wines.
