Known for his comedic take on the nation’s political landscape, he has been producing cartoons for the Daily Telegraph under the pen name of simply ‘Matt’, since 1988.

An award-winner many times over, Matt will be guest speaker at an evening of drinks, food and fundraising at The Leaping Hare, Wyken Vineyards in West Suffolk, on Thursday 26 August.

Those joining the event will also be in with a chance of securing one of Matt’s unmistakable cartoons, which he has kindly donated for a live on-the-night auction to benefit the charity.

Allan Myatt, Chief Executive of Ormiston Families, said: “We are enormously grateful to Matt for kindly giving his time for this event, and we’re very much looking forward to him recounting tales of life as a cartoonist over the last three decades.

“This very special event, in the wonderful setting of Wyken Vineyards, is taking place as part of our 40th anniversary celebrations, to help us mark the incredible amount of positive impact which the charity has achieved for so many across the East of England.”

The fundraising evening will help Ormiston Families to continue with its many project initiatives, including those which enhance the wellbeing of young women, and those which support families affected by imprisonment of a close relative.

Guests will be able to explore the gardens of Wyken Vineyards, before enjoying a three-course dinner, hearing Matt’s talk, and participating in an auction.

The event will follow any and all social distancing guidelines which continue to exist at the time.

Tickets cost £65 each and can be booked online by going to https://www.ormiston.org/dinner-at-wyken-vineyards-with-matt-pritchett-mbe/
