We are really proud of 1st Cattawade Explorer Scouts, who climbed the height of the Shard on the 11 November 2023 to raise money. The money will be going towards the building of a new purpose build Scout and Guide headquarters in Factory Lane, Brantham. The Explored Scouts chose to do this amazing challenge in memory of Roger Dann who led the unit for many years and was a driving force behind this project until his unfortunate passing in early January 2023.
Their target goal was £500 on a just giving page which exceeded its total to a wonderful £670. Taking place at Hallow tree, the event saw the Explorer Scouts climb the height of the Shard on the climbing wall. A wonderful achievement that keeps closely with the heart of Scouting for an amazing course.
